The entire corpus of Systematic Theology is considered in relation to \nbiblical counseling. While not a study of any specific theological \nsystem the implications of various systems to counseling will be \nexamined.

This course is 1 of the 11 courses included in the INS Certificate coursework. Students who complete all 11 online courses will be issued a Certificate which will indicate completion of the course of study with us. For those interested in becoming a Certified Biblical Counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), earning this Certificate does count for the Fundaments requirement in Phase 1 of the ACBC certification process.

Jay Adams is the founder of the modern biblical counseling movement and the author of the groundbreaking book Competent to Counsel.

Dr. Adams has served on the faculty of two theological seminaries and has been a pastor and church planter. Among the 100 books he has
written over his lifetime are The Christian Counselor's Manual, Theology of Counseling, How to Help People Change, Handbook of Church Discipline, From Forgiven to Forgiving, Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage in the Bible, and Preaching With Purpose.

He is the founder of the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF) and the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC formerly NANC). He now serves as the Dean of the Institute for Nouthetic Studies.
